The Samiti's role was confined to policy advocacy and ramping up activism and movements against unjust government policies. Notable activities and achievements of the Samiti included alterations in Value Added Tax implementation in 2003, abolition of Octroi, Impact fee, currency coin shortages, and actions against government officials' misconduct. 

Simultaneously, the SVUM recognized the necessity for a parallel constructive body that could embody the principles of collective advancement for society inspired by Mahatma Gandhiji's ideals. The vision of Saurashtra VeparUdyog Mahamandal encompasses integrated societal development alongside agriculture, coastal area enhancement, infrastructure progress, and good governance, all achievable through industrial growth in the Micro, Small, and Medium sectors.
